How to configure calendars and address books?

The CalDAV (for calendars) and CardDAV (for address books) protocols are open standards that allow you to synchronize your events and address books across multiple devices. Thanks to these protocols, you can view, add, or modify an appointment or contact from your phone, computer, or webmail, and see changes appear everywhere in real time.

With cPanel, you can enable this synchronization for your email accounts using compatible applications such as iOS, macOS, Thunderbird, or by adding plugins for Outlook and Android.

Compatible Applications and Required Plugins

Applications with Native CalDAV/CardDAV Support

  • iOS (iPhone, iPad)
  • macOS
  • Thunderbird (Windows, Linux, and macOS)

These applications can connect directly to your cPanel account without any additional plugin.

Applications Requiring a Third-Party Plugin

Third-party plugins are not officially supported by cPanel. While our technical support can verify that the plugin configuration is correct, we cannot investigate or escalate any issues related to their use.

Configuration

To configure your CalDAV/CardDAV account, you will need the following information:

  • Username: your full email address
  • Password: your email account password
  • Server URL: https://mail.mybusiness.re:2080 `(replace `mybusiness.re with your domain name)
  • Alternative URL: https://mail.mybusiness.re:2080/principals/user@mybusiness.re/ (replace mybusiness.re with your domain name and user@mybusiness.re with your full email address)

Note: Some applications may not support automatic discovery. If the server URL does not work, use the alternative URL to work around this limitation.
