How do I easily update an application with Softaculous?

Softaculous makes it easy to update the applications hosted on your server.

• Log in to your cPanel
• In the "Software" section, click "Softaculous App Installer"
• Click the "All Installations" icon in the top right:

• Click the rotating arrows icon next to the version number (if the icon isn't there, no update is available):

• If you don't see your application, it wasn't installed with Softaculous - but don't worry, you can import your application into Softaculous by following the tutorial "How do I import an existing application into Softaculous?"
• Read the information, then click the "Upgrade" button.
• If a PHP update is required, Softaculous will let you know and offer to update PHP on your behalf.

Automatic updates

If you'd like, you can enable automatic updates with Softaculous, in particular to maintain a good level of security on your site. However, be careful: if you've added custom code to your application, this could cause issues.

To do this, click the pencil-shaped icon in the "All Installations" section:

Then in the "Auto Update" section, check "Update to Latest Version Available (Major as well as Minor)" and click the "Save Install Details" button.
