How to add a user to your account and manage their permissions?
At Hodi, we choose to protect your account and your data. For this reason, our teams can only respond to people officially registered as users on your client area.
In practice, this means that if a developer, service provider, or team member needs to contact us or access your services, they must first be added as a user on your account.
Good news: this is done very simply, in a few clicks, and without ever having to share your password: each person has their own access, with permissions that you choose yourself.
This system allows you to:
- maintain full control over your account,
- know who has access to what,
- be able to revoke access at any time, for example if you change service providers,
- restrict access to specific services or domains only, if needed.
You can also use this system to give specific access to your accounting department, so they can view and download invoices independently.
How to proceed?
- Log in to your client area
- In the "My Account" menu, choose "User Management"
- Click on "Invite a User".
- Enter the email address of the person to invite
- Click on "Choose Permissions" and select the desired options.
Please note: if you are sharing with your accountant, only the "View and pay invoices" permission is required.
- Click on "Send Your Invitation"
- The invited person will receive an email to access your services
Restricting access to specific services and domains
By default, an invited user can see all services and domains on your account (within the limits of their permissions). If you want them to see only certain services or domains, you can enable a per-domain restriction.
To do this:
- Go to the "User Management" page
- Next to the relevant user, click the globe icon
- Choose "Selected only" and check only the domains the user should have access to
- Click "Save"
The restricted user will only see the services and domains you have authorized. A "Restricted" badge will appear next to their name to remind you that a restriction is active.
To restore full access, open the window again and choose "All services and domains".
Security and traceability
All access is logged at Hodi for security purposes. If needed, we are able to identify who connected and when.
If you change developers or service providers, you can revoke existing access in just a few clicks and create new ones, without impacting your main account.
