What are our DNS servers?
When you already have your domain name and wish to keep it with your current registrar, you need to change the DNS servers of your domain so that you can use it on our infrastructure*.
For web hosting, our DNS servers are the following:
- ns1.hodi.host
- ns2.hodi.host
- ns3.hodi.host
If you are curious, these DNS servers are distributed across three different operators for security, resilience and performance reasons: two are located in Reunion Island (Zeop and SFR Business) and one in Brittany.
If you only have a domain name without hosting, you can use the following servers to manage your DNS zone from your Hodi client account, and create free email redirections:
- ns4.hodi.host
- ns5.hodi.host
* We are not big fans of asterisks at Hodi but this one was worth it. In practice, you can keep the DNS servers wherever you want, you just need to manually copy the DNS zone provided by cPanel to your current DNS provider. But it can be long and tedious, which is why we recommend changing your DNS. And since we have DNS servers in Reunion Island, we are normally faster than your current DNS provider
