What is a data location attestation?

The data location attestation is an official document issued by Hodi SAS that certifies the physical location where your server or web hosting data is hosted. This document states the exact data center, with the precise address of the infrastructure.

What is this attestation for?

This attestation addresses several regulatory and business needs:

• GDPR and local law compliance: proving that your data is hosted in a specific country or jurisdiction, in line with personal data protection requirements.
• Tenders and public procurement: many tenders in Africa require proof of local hosting to guarantee digital sovereignty.
• Sector-specific requirements: some sectors (banking, healthcare, telecommunications) require data to be hosted within the country or region.
• Audits and certifications: providing documented proof of your infrastructure's location for audit purposes.
• Contractual commitments: demonstrating to your own clients that their data is hosted at the agreed location.

How do I get my attestation?

1. Log in to your Hodi Client Area.
2. Go to the details of the relevant service (web hosting or virtual server).
3. In the side menu, click Location attestation.
4. The PDF document is generated automatically with your information and the data center's.

How do I verify that an attestation is authentic?

Each attestation includes a QR code and a unique verification code. To verify that a document is authentic:

1. Scan the QR code with your phone, or
2. Go to www.hodi.host/attestation and enter the verification code.

The verification page confirms the attestation's details (hostname, IP address, data center physical address).

Which services is it available for?

The attestation is available for all active services:

• Shared web hosting (Minisite, Site Pro, Cyber+, Archipel, etc.)
• Virtual servers (managed or unmanaged)
• Odoo Cloud

Is the document renewed?

A new verification code is generated each time you download the attestation. Previous attestations remain verifiable online.
