How to redirect your domain name to your Facebook page or another site?

You can redirect your domain name (e.g.: mysmallbusiness.re) to another website of your choice, for example your Facebook page. The procedure differs depending on whether you have Hodi hosting or a domain name only.

Domain name with hosting

• Log in to your cPanel
• In the "Domains" section, choose "Redirects"
• Enter your link in the "Redirects to" section:

• If your redirect is likely to change, you can choose "Temporary" in the "Type" menu
• If your redirect only applies to one of your domains, you can choose the relevant domain in the "http?://(www.?" section

**Warning: **the redirect modifies your website's .htaccess file, so make sure not to modify it on your end.

Domain name only

• Go to "My Account" then "My Domains"
• Click on the domain whose DNS zone you wish to modify
• In the "Manage" section on the left, click on "DNS Servers"
• If not already done, check "Use custom nameservers", enter ns4.hodi.host and ns5.hodi.host (leave the other fields empty) and click the "Change DNS Servers" button:

• In the "Manage" section on the left, click on "DNS Zone Editor".
• Click on the "A (Address)" dropdown menu in the row where the "Hostname" field is empty, choose "URL Redirect" and enter your address in the "Address" field. Do the same on the row where "Hostname" contains "www":

• Save your changes by clicking "Save Changes"

When redirecting, the address changes in the browser's address bar. If you want the address to remain unchanged and your domain name to stay displayed, you can use the "URL Masking" record type instead of "URL Redirect". The rest of the procedure is the same.

Redirection without hosting does not have an SSL certificate and will therefore only work with "http".
