What is email address verification?
When you register or transfer a domain name, certain registries (the organizations that manage domain names) require us to confirm that your email address is correct. Our domain name partner (GANDI) therefore automatically sends you an email entitled "Verification of your email address". This email comes from the address noreply@domainnameverification.net.
Here is the type of email you will receive:
Hello,
>
You are receiving this message because you are registered as the owner contact of a domain name in an extension that requires reachability verification.
We are verifying your reachability via the email address you declared, namely "contact@mysmallbusiness.re".
>
To do this, simply click on the following link (or paste it into
your browser if your email client does not support links):
https://domainnameverification.net/?hash=abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
>
For security reasons, you will never be asked for a password
during this process.
>
It is very important that you confirm the proper functioning of
your email address. Without this confirmation, the domain name(s)
associated with this email address as owner contact will be deactivated.
>
Best regards
This process is required for .COM and most international domains, but not for .RE and .FR domains. If you have registered a domain and have not received this email, you can contact our technical support so that we can resend the email.
You have 15 days to validate your email, otherwise your domain will be suspended by the relevant registry.
