How to edit your DNS zone?
You can modify your DNS zone at any time. The procedure differs depending on whether you have Hodi hosting or a domain name only.
Domain name with hosting
- Log in to your cPanel
- In the "Domains" section, choose "DNS Zone Editor"
- Click the "Manage" button next to the domain whose DNS zone you wish to modify
- You can modify or delete DNS records using the screen that appears:

- If you wish to modify the MX records to point to another email provider (for example, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365), you must check the email routing configuration by going to the "Email Routing" section after modifying the MX records. You must check "Automatically detect configuration" then click "Edit".

If you do not do this, emails sent from your server will not reach their destination.
**Tip: **if you are asked to create a @ DNS record, you need to replace it with your domain name (e.g.: mysmallbusiness.re).
Warning: incorrect modifications to your DNS zone could cause your website to become unavailable or block the delivery of your emails.
Domain name only
- Go to "My Account" then "My Domains"
- Click on the domain whose DNS zone you wish to modify
- In the "Manage" section on the left, click on "DNS Servers"
- If not already done, check "Use custom nameservers", enter
ns4.hodi.hostandns5.hodi.host(delete any previously entered servers and leave the other fields empty) and click the "Change DNS Servers" button:

- In the "Manage" section on the left, click on "DNS Zone Editor", make your changes or additions then click the "Save Changes" button
- If you have multiple DNS records to add, you must add them one at a time.
Web redirects
To redirect to another web page, simply use the "URL Redirect" record type and enter the redirect address in the "Address" field. The address will change in the browser's address bar. If you want the address to remain unchanged, you can use the "URL Masking" record type.
**Tip: **if you are asked to create a @ DNS record, simply leave the "Hostname" field empty.
Warning: incorrect modifications to your DNS zone could cause your website to become unavailable or block the delivery of your emails.
